POLICE OFFICER

Requirements:

 * Be a citizen of the United States

* Be between the ages of 18 and 35

* Have a valid N.J. Drivers License

* Have a minimum of either an Associate Degree from an accredited College or University, have earned at least 60 College Credits from an accredited College or University or have completed a minimum of two years active military service concluding with an honorable discharge.

 * MUST have current New Jersey Police Officer Certification; approval of New Jersey Police Training Commission (NJPTC)

 * Candidates must successfully complete various fitness for duty assessments, including:   

- a comprehensive background investigation

            - a psychological evaluation

            - a medical examination

 * Experience: Must have at least two years of work and/or life experience directly relating to a minimum of two of the following areas:     

- Community service/involvement

            - Interviewing, public speaking, and conflict resolution skills

            - Problem solving, using creative methods to resolve issues

            - Multi-cultural work and life experiences
