St. Paddys Day Weekend Events March 10th & 11th

This weekend Saturday March 10th and Sunday March 11th Clinton will once again host 2 great St. Patricks Day Weekend events.

The Run O' the Mill 5K race kicks off the weekend on Saturday morning at the Clinton Community Center with a 8am start. Parking is limited and race organizers have arranged off-site parking locations. For more race information, for questions and for parking details visit www.therunothemill5k.com

Halstead Street will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at approximately 7am followed by Center Street, Lower Center Street, Main Street, East Main Street, New Street and a portion of Leigh Street as race start time approaches. Every effort to accomodate residents will be made when and if it is safe to do so however they should expect street closures and delays along the race route between 745am and 845am.

The Freindly Sons of St. Patricks Parade will wrap up the weekend on Sunday afternoon starting at 3pm. Halstead Street will be closed to non-parade participant traffic beginning at approximately 1pm followed by the parade route streets of Center Street, New Street, East Main Street, Main Street and Lower Center Street. Every effort will be made to accomodate residents and their guests will be made when and if it is safe to do so however they should expect street closures and delays along the parade route beginning at 2pm. At 1pm on SUNDAY Halstead Street traffic will be ONE-WAY south only with NO traffic permitted north from the downtown. All parade participants must access the parade line up on Halstead Street from the north.

It cannot be over emphasized enough that Race participants on Saturday and Parade participants/spectators on Sunday should have their parking locations and arrangements pre-planned and be prepared to walk in to the race and parade route areas from remote parking locations and NOT expect to find parking anywhere near the downtown area or race/parade routes.
